Water Restrictions

Mandatory water restrictions have been in effect in South Florida since March 22, 2007.  In response to improved regional water resource conditions, the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) has modified emergency water restrictions across most of Palm Beach County to up to two-day-a-week watering

Effective April 18th a “Modified Phase II Severe Water Shortage Order” is in effect for Wellington, instituting an up to two-day-a-week watering schedule for residential landscape irrigation with two “watering windows”.  These restrictions are limited to landscape irrigation, which is the single biggest use of potable water in South Florida.  Restrictions on activities including car, boat and pressure washing are not being enforced at this time.
