Report Missed Pickup

 

Curbside collection service is provided to the Village of Wellington which includes pickup of household garbage, vegetation, recycling, and bulk items.  When placing these items out for collection, please separate your waste according to the Garbage Guide to ensure efficient collection.

 

You can report your missed garbage, yard waste or recycling collection directly to the Village of Wellington.  Follow the instructions below and your missed collection will be reported to your collection contractor and picked up within two working days. You can also call (561) 791-4003 to report a missed collection.  Please remember, reports will not be accepted until after 6:00 p.m. on the day of the missed collection to allow collection contractors to complete their established routes.

Garbage    

§         Collected twice a week. See Collection Schedule.

§         Household garbage must be in a Village of Wellington automated can.

§         Cardboard boxes must be broken down and cut (not folded) no larger than 3 feet by 3 feet.

§         Automated cans need to be out by 7am on the day of collection facing the correct way (wheels and handle should be closest to the house).

§         Can must not contain items heavier than 50 pounds.

§         Can must not contain vegetation of any kind.

§         Rocks or concrete will not be collected.

§         Garbage placed along major thoroughfares or vacant lots will not be collected.

Bulk Garbage

§         Collected once a week on the same day as your vegetation day.  See Collection Schedule.

§         Cardboard boxes must be broken down and cut (not folded) no larger than 3 feet by 3 feet.

§         Items should not exceed 6 feet in length or 50 pounds in weight.

§         Garbage placed along major thoroughfares or vacant lots will not be collected.

Vegetation

§         Collected once a week. See Collection Schedule.

§         Any vegetation left by lawn maintenance services or other contractors will not be collected.  Contractors are required to remove their debris.

§         Vegetation should not exceed 5 inches in diameter 6 feet in length or 50 pounds in weight.

§         Vegetation will not be picked up if it is mixed with other garbage.

§         Vegetation placed under a utility/power line will not be collected.

§         Vegetation placed along major thoroughfares or vacant lots will not be collected.

§         Stumps, root balls, sod, dirt and landscaping rocks are not considered vegetation and should be hauled by a private contractor to be disposed of.

§         Automated vegetation cans must not contain any garbage and must be facing the correct what (wheels and handle closest to house.)

Recycling

§         Collected once a week. See Collection Schedule.

§         Cardboard boxes must be broken down and cut (not folded) no larger than 3 feet by 3 feet.

§         Pizza boxes and cereal boxes are not recyclable.

§         No plastic bags.
