Fun for All

The Village of Wellington Parks & Recreation Department is proud to announce exciting programs for both the young and the young at heart

Hoping your child will enjoy a great spring break?  Then be sure to register them for our new Acting Fun or Kidzart Spring Break Camps and continue the fun this summer.  From pre-k to teens, you can keep your children active by choosing from a variety of classes and camps.  One of our new classes this summer will be Charlene Shaw’s dance and movement class called “Rising Stars”. This class is geared to children with special needs.  Other programs offered include ballet dancing, hip hop dancing, tumbling, cheerleading, acting, audition, and art programs.  The Amazing Mr. A. and Leo Parry will also return this summer to keep everyone on the edge of their seats during our weekly Camp Entertainment shows.

When signing up your children, be sure to register for one of our adult programs; Yoga, Pilates, Yogilates, Intermediate Italian lessons, and now a brand new “Almighty Salsa” program with Debbie Otero.  All these programs and camps take place at the Wellington Community Center (12165 W. Forest Hill Boulevard).  For more information, times, and dates check out our website, www.ci.wellington.fl.us or call Julie Strow at 561-753-5262.

For first time registrants, you are required to register in person at either of our two convenient locations:  Wellington Community Center (12165 West Forest Hill Boulevard) or Village Park Gymnasium (11700 Pierson Road).  If you have registered for a program in the past, you can register by fax or take advantage of our on-line registration by visiting http://.rec.ci.wellington.fl.us and using your household ID number.

The Village of Wellington Parks & Recreation Department is creating tomorrow’s community today by offering quality programs as a 2007 Florida Recreation and Park Association Excellence Award Agency.

Mayor Darell Bowen, Vice Mayor Dr. Carmine Priore along with Council Members Lizbeth Benacquisto, Bob Margolis, and Matt Willhite are pleased to bring exciting and innovative programs to the Village, always looking for ways to improve services for all its residents.  For information on other Village programs, events, and activities, please visit the website at www.ci.wellington.fl.us or watch Channel 18 for the latest Village happenings.
