Village
of Wellington Memorial Day Ceremony and Call to
Veterans
The Village of Wellington will be honoring all
veterans at the Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May
26, 2008. The Memorial Parade will begin at the
Wellington Community Center, 12165 W. Forest Hill
Boulevard, at 8:45 a.m. and end at the Veterans
Memorial located on the corner of W. Forest Hill
Boulevard and Southshore Boulevard. The Memorial Day
Ceremony will begin at 9 a.m.
If you would like to honor a veteran by having their
name and service branch listed in our Memorial Day
program, announced directly following the ceremony
and listed on Channel 18, please call (561) 791-4773
during business hours or email dhetherington@ci.wellington.fl.us.
If you are an active or retired veteran attending
the ceremony, you will have an opportunity to
register the morning of the event at the Village of
Wellington tent and you will be recognized during
the ceremony.
The Village of Wellington Parks & Recreation
Department is creating tomorrow’s community today by
offering quality programs as a 2007 Florida
Recreation and Park Association Excellence Award
Agency.
