NOTICE OF ATTORNEY-CLIENT SESSION

 


     NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE VILLAGE OF WELLINGTON, a Municipal Corporation of the State of Florida, will hold a private attorney-client session pursuant to Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes, to commence on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. or as soon as possible thereafter, in the “Card Room” at the Wellington Community Center, 12165 West Forest Hill Boulevard, Wellington, Florida 33414, between the Village Council, Paul Schofield, Village Manager, Jeffrey S. Kurtz, Esq., Village Attorney, Michael T. Burke, Esq. and Carolyn A. Egan, Esq., Special Council and the certified transcribing court reporter, to discuss negotiations and strategy for pending judicial litigation in connection with:


Las Palmas Equestrian, LLC, Plaintiff vs. the Village of Wellington, Defendant, in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in and for Palm Beach County, Florida, Case No. 50 2005 CA 009384 XXXXMBAI.


     The Village’s Attorney has advised the Village that he desires to advise the Village Council concerning the pending litigation. The subject matter of the attorney-client session shall be confined to settlement negotiations or strategy sessions related to litigation and litigation expenditures with the estimated length of the session to be approximately one (1) hour. Pursuant to Florida law, the entire attorney-client session shall be recorded by a certified court reporter who shall record the times of commencement and termination of the session, all discussion and proceedings, the names of all persons present at any time, and the names of all persons speaking. No portion of the session shall be off the record. The court reporter’s notes shall be fully transcribed and filed with the Village Clerk and shall be made part of the public record upon conclusion of the pending litigation.
